One of the most unique wedding venues in Florida, the Lightner Museum offers versatile event spaces that can be tailored to match your unique vision, whether you’re looking for an intimate reception for 40 guests or a lavish celebration for up to 225 attendees.

An iconic landmark in downtown St. Augustine, the Lightner Museum is housed in the former Alcazar Hotel, a grand Gilded Age resort. Once renowned as the world’s largest indoor swimming pool, the venue has transformed into a magnificent space for ceremonies and receptions.

Capture stunning portraits around the lush outdoor spaces–some of the most coveted locations for wedding photos in all of St. Augustine. After exchanging your vows, treat your guests to cocktail hour in the exquisite Grand Lobby or on the sunny Outdoor Terrace. We also offer two private suites where you can relax and prepare before the big day.

Historic Pool

With its majestic three-story ceiling and twin grand staircases, the Historic Pool creates an immersive experience for events. Host a romantic wedding ceremony on the lower level, inside what was once the world’s largest indoor swimming pool. While your guests enjoy cocktail hour in one of our other stunning locations, your vendor team transforms the Pool into the reception location of your dreams.

Mezzanine

The level above the Historic Pool provides the perfect space for dinner service. Guests are able to view the venue from a completely different perspective throughout the evening—without ever being too far from the action on the dance floor!

Outdoor Terrace & Gardens

Located just off of the Mezzanine is the spacious Outdoor Terrace. With a backdrop of the building’s grand architecture, the Terrace is the perfect location for cocktail hour, outdoor wedding ceremonies, and grand exits. Located below the Terrace is the immaculately manicured private garden. Couples have exclusive access to this lush space for wedding portraits.

Grand Lobby

With sparkling crystal chandeliers, intricate mosaic tile flooring, and eight majestic arched windows, the Grand Lobby is a showstopping event space. Perfect for cocktail hour or an intimate ceremony, the Grand Lobby looks out onto three exquisite private courtyards.

*If you are hosting your wedding ceremony off-site, or if select the Intimate Wedding Package, the Grand Lobby can be added on as your cocktail hour for an additional fee.

Private Suites

Access to our two elegantly appointed private suites, the Maria Jefferson Lounge and Otto Lightner Lounge, is included for all weddings at the Lightner. The suites are the perfect locations to do final preparations before you say “I do.” Challenge your crew to a game of darts or foosball, or kick back, relax, and watch a game on the big screen TV. Or do all of those last-minute hair and makeup touch-ups, slip on those gorgeous gowns, and sip on champagne.
