One of the most wonderful things about the Lightner Museum is that there are so many beautiful locations to utilize for weddings and events. Sasha and David took full advantage of nearly every space at the Lightner for their wedding ceremony and reception, and the photos from Chris Glen Photography are absolutely magical!
Sasha and David took advantage of the private City Hall Courtyard for some beautiful portraits amidst the swaying palm trees prior to their wedding ceremony.
As the photos below show, the East and West Courtyards are also beautiful locations for wedding portraits. We love how these photos look like the couple has stepped back in time to a bygone era.
The Jewish wedding ceremony took place inside the Historic Pool of the Lightner Museum. St. Johns Illuminations hung twinkling market lights from the second-floor mezzanine. The ceremony backdrop featured beautiful white draping behind a gorgeous greenery accented chuppah.
Dinner was served on the second-floor Mezzanine. We loved the neutral gold and blush color palate of the reception decor, which was cleverly accented by antique books. The wedding cake and guest book table also incorporated elements that represented the couple’s love of travel.
The Rivertown Band kept guests out on the dance floor all evening!
No Jewish wedding is complete without the Hora, or chair dance. Guests hoisted the bride and groom high above the crowd on chairs to the infectious sounds of “Hava Nagila.”
Sasha and David ended the evening with a sweet last dance before heading to the Outdoor Terrace for their Grand Exit as husband and wife.
