Fishing Charters & Boating

The waters around St. Augustine are teeming with flounder, cobia, redfish, tuna, and even barracuda. Charter a boat and see what you can catch, then take it back to your Airbnb for dinner!

Is fishing not your thing? There are several boat charters that offer tours of St. Augustine from the water. Sabrage Charters offers a 63-foot catamaran that can fit up to 80 guests with food and beverage. The Schooner Freedom is a 76-foot sailboat offering day, sunset, and moonlight sails. Looking for a more boozy boating adventure? Old Town Cycle Cruise is the best party on the bay! This pedal-powered party boat can fit up to 24 passengers.

Museums & Historic Landmarks

As the Nation’s Oldest City, St. Augustine is steeped in history. Odds are, if you can dream it up, there’s a museum for it!

History lovers will enjoy the old fort at Castillo de San Marcos, the Lightner Museum, or the Fountain of Youth. Earn your “sea legs” at the Pirate & Treasure Museum or the Shipwreck Museum & Gallery.

Looking for something more gruesome? Try the Medieval Torture Museum!

Distillery Tours & Alcohol Tastings

St. Augustine Distillery offers free self-guided tours seven days a week. Afterward, you’ll also get the chance to sample four different cocktails. A gift shop allows you to pick up a souvenir bottle, but the Distillery also offers a Fill Your Own Bottle Experience. After your tour, head over to the Ice Plant for one of St. Augustine’s top dining experiences.

Looking to stay in the downtown historic district? City Gate Spirits serves up a craft spirit experience right on the bayfront.

The Swig is a fun new tasting experience in St. Augustine brought to you by Flagler College hospitality expert extraordinaire Zac Cole. You’ll sip a little, chat a little, and you may even learn a thing or two!

Wine lovers can enjoy a good glass of vino at many locations around St. Augustine. The San Sabastian Winery offers wine tours and rooftop dining. Casa de Vino 57 and Bin 39 are popular spots to relax and enjoy a wine flight while listening to local musicians.

St. Augustine Alligator Farm & Zip Lining

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park has been one of St. Augustine’s top tourist destinations for more than 125 years! Not only is it a beautiful place to walk around and see the finest specimens of alligators, crocodiles, and many more fantastic beasts, you can also kick the adventure up a notch by conquering the Crocodile Crossing Zip Line! There are two challenging obstacle courses to choose from, and you’ll fly over alligators and crocodiles right beneath your feet!

Do you and the boys love a day out on the links? St. Augustine and the surrounding areas are known for some of Florida’s best golfing spots. Play like the pros at World Golf Village or TPC Sawgrass, the home of The Players Championship. The Royal St. Augustine Golf & Country Club is also a great option closer to historic St. Augustine.

Is mini golf more your style? Fiesta Falls Mini Golf on the beach and Anastasia Mini Golf on Anastasia Island are two great options!

Other Outdoor Adventures

Ready to enjoy that Florida sunshine? We’ve got a few more ideas for daytime activities outside!

Anastasia State Park is the perfect outdoorsman’s paradise, not too far from the Oldest City. Rent kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards from Anastasia Watersports and enjoy the scenic water views of the Salt Run and St. Augustine Lighthouse. Thinking about packing everyone into an RV for a bachelor party road trip adventure? You can rent a camp spot in Anastasia State Park! The park also extends all the way to St. Augustine Beach, so you can rent bikes from the Island Beach Shop and cruise along the water.

Speaking of biking, renting bikes is a great way to get around St. Augustine. (Parking in the historic district can be tricky, especially around the busy holiday season!) Drifters and Gotcha by Bolt Mobility are popular bike share options, allowing you to pick up and drop off bikes at multiple locations.

Live Music

Nothing makes a good time better quite like live music. Fortunately, St. Augustine has plenty of options.

In the downtown area, check out No Name Bar, Colonial Oak Music Park, White Lion, Meehan’s Irish Pub, or Prohibition Kitchen for a variety of local musicians, cold drinks, delicious food, and a great time.

Planning on staying beachside for the night? Check out Tides Oyster Bar or Cafe Eleven for live music, a local atmosphere, and good drinks.

In the mood for some Karaoke? The Pub on Anastasia Island is one of the best local spots! The bar also features darts, billiards, and an outdoor fire pit, for those who don’t want to take a turn in front of the mic.

If you and your crew are country music fans, Stampedes Dance Hall recently opened its doors in St. Augustine just down the street from The Pub. Try to follow along to a two step, play some pool, or just enjoy some good old fashioned people watching.

The St. Augustine Amphitheater, also located on Anastasia Island, hosts more than 40 performances a year, featuring some of the most popular music legends and rising stars. The Amp is often ranked among the top music venues in the world!

St. Augustine also plays host to a wide variety of seasonal events and festivals, so make sure to check out a local calendar of events for the timeframe you are planning your bachelor party!

Breweries & Chill Hangs

There is no shortage of chill breweries and fun hangs in St. Augustine.

If you love a local brewery, The Bog, Dog Rose Brewing, Old Coast Ales, and Ancient City Brewing are a few of our top spots.

Auggies Draft Room in the downtown historic district lets you choose your own brew. They have over 24 self-serve taps!

Sarbez on Anastasia Island has all of your favorite classic arcade games. You can sip on your favorite beer or much on one of their amazing grilled cheese sandwiches while challenging your friends to a game.

If rowdy bars aren’t your thing, stop by Stogies Jazz Club & Listening Room for a laidback evening of cigars and live music.

Spooky Tours

A city as old as St. Augustine is bound to have a few spirits wandering about. Check out one of the many ghost tours that the city has to offer. Just make sure you have your camera ready!

Another option is the Quackery tour at the Spanish Military Hospital Museum. This adults-only tour covering “the dark side of medicine” is offered Friday and Saturday evenings.

The St. Augustine Dark of the Moon Ghost Tour combines some of the darker history of one of St. Augustine top attractions with a fun haunted tour. Make sure to get tickets ahead of time, as tours often sell out!

Formal Dining

Cap off a fun day or start a night to remember with a good meal.

The downtown historic district is known for its fantastic cuisine. The Floridian offers innovative southern fare inspired by local favorites. Drop by The Columbia for authentic Spanish-Cuban cuisine in the heart of downtown.

Preserved, located in an old Victorian home in the Lincolnville district, has some of the best charcuterie, local meats, and fine wines.

Asado Life offers a unique dining experience with a great view over the water toward downtown.

Is your groom the ultimate foodie? Rent an Airbnb and hire a private chef for the evening!

Casual Eats

A St. Augustine bachelor party is the perfect excuse to eat like a local!

Boat Drinks is always a favorite spot on St. George Street to grab a bite and a beverage. Order some oysters and the double cheeseburger. You won’t regret it!

Meehan’s Irish Pub & Seafood House is not just a great place to hang in the evening. Food here any time of day is sure to satisfy, whether you’re craving traditional Irish pub fare, seafood, or oysters.

If you’re looking for a great waterfront option, Caps on the Water, Conch House, and Beaches at Vilano are known for both their views and their food.

While they don’t offer waterfront views, the Beachcomber and Sunset Grille on St. Augustine Beach are about as close as you can get to eating on the sand!

Having trouble deciding between all of St. Augustine’s amazing food options? Consider doing a Tasting Tour, which allows you to sample from some of the area’s best culinary experiences.

Breakfast & Brunch (aka. Hangover Cures)

If you find yourself in need of a strong coffee, a greasy meal, and a little “hair of the dog” the next day, PK’s Roosevelt Room serves brunch every day from 9-2 (no need to set an alarm).

Every day is Sunday at Sunday Gathering Table. This spot boasts aesthetically pleasing indoor and outdoor dining surrounded by local art. The menu offers lighter, healthier options for those who may have gone a little overboard the night before.

Hangar One Bistro, located a little north of town at the St. Augustine airport, offers a unique aviation dining experience with views of the airport runways.

Where To Stay

For a more “luxury” stay near downtown with all the amenities, try out Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Hilton Bayfront, or Renaissance St. Augustine. Conjoining rooms and sumptuous suites make it easy for the whole squad to hang together in style!

If you’re looking for a more mid-range hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree, and Homewood Suites are nice options that are not too far from the action downtown.

Over on St. Augustine Beach, the Embassy Suites is the perfect place for an oceanfront getaway.

Inns, Bed and Breakfasts, Airbnbs, and Rentals

From beachside cottages to historic downtown homes, there are a variety of vacation rentals throughout the city. Many of them are big enough to accommodate a large group, making them the perfect option for a St. Augustine bachelor party weekend.

The Collector Inn is a really nice mix between a traditional hotel and B&B. This adult-only (16+) boutique hotel offers well-appointed rooms, excellent amenities, and a variety of experiences (such as a mixology class)!

The St. George Inn is conveniently located on St. George Street in the historic district. It also happens to have a wine bar (Bin 39) and Cigar Bar (Stogies) right in the courtyard!
